Sleeping in Peace

Surrounded by Enemies, Guarded by God

Psalm 3 was written by David in a time of deep distress, as he fled from his own son, Absalom. He was surrounded by those who said, "There is no help for him in God" (v. 2).

Yet, what David declares next is a power that defies logic: "But you, O Lord, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head... I lay down and slept; I woke again, for the Lord sustained me." (Psalm 3:3, 5)

What a powerful lesson! Even when negative voices and threats are loud, our safety does not depend on the absence of problems, but on the presence of God. He is our Shield and the One who allows us to lie down and sleep in peace. If God sustains you, what do you truly fear? Rest your head tonight with this assurance. πŸ›‘️ #Psalm3 #SleepInPeace #GodIsMyShield #Security
