Joy in the Midst of Trouble
Joy in the Heart, Even When Supplies Are Low
"Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have given me relief when I was in distress. Be gracious to me and hear my prayer." (Psalm 4:1)
Psalm 4 shows us how to stay focused when everything seems to be falling apart. David advises us to do two essential things:
"Be angry, and do not sin" (v. 4): Turn your frustration into reverence, not reckless actions.
"Offer right sacrifices, and put your trust in the Lord" (v. 5): Continue to do what is right and surrender the outcome to Him.
The world seeks material good ("Who will show us some good?"), but David concludes with a powerful prayer: "You have put more joy in my heart than they have when their grain and wine abound" (v. 7). True joy doesn't come from what you have, but from Who you have. Let God fill your heart with unshakable joy today! ✨ #Psalm4 #JoyInGod #Prayer #Trust
